Peaceways Returns

For years I have been drawing the Peaceways comics. They are truly a labor of love. I promised myself, if I ever got the chance, I would make animations of these stories.

Animation is a wonderful way to create narrative. Most definitely the best way to tell out of this world stories.

This project took 200 hours using Clip Studio Pro, MOHO, Adobe Premier and, Ableton Live.

Bubbies Toy

They say that art imitates life. And, well… my muse for this project is about half a foot tall sausage shaped and 25 lbs. My Wife and I Adopted Bubbles from the animal shelter in 2014. I knew the first time I saw her that she was special.

This small soft vinyl toy is a celebration of my friendship with my dog. Out of all the things I’ve made in my life, the Bubbies toy has had the most positive response from people. Designed to be affordable and highly collectable, this project was beyond anything I could hope for.

I’m a firm believer that sincerity and hard work breath life into art.

This soft Vinyl toys are produced in Japan and painted by me.

The Brand Cap

When I learned of the opportunity to work with Ebbets, one of my favorite clothing makers. I jumped at the opportunity. The idea of a woolen cap, designed by me and, made in America!

These caps symbolize my design ethos, a physical manifestation of the brand I have built. From the fantastic B logo, designed by my good friend Jake Fairley, to the felt Bubbies sofubi patch on the right side. These classic caps prove that success is in the manifestation of an idea. From the inception, to the production.

100% black wool, green satin under brim, felt patch, embroidered logo, leather strap back with a silver buckle.

Muck Marshman

I have always loved monster toys. I could always relate to the misunderstood beasts and creatures from horror and science fiction. Muck Marshman is my amalgamation of my favorite monster designs made life through soft vinyl.

This project was 2 years in the making from the first sketches to being cast in Hong Kong. I am fortunate to have gotten to make a dream come to reality.

BOMBASTIC PLASTIC TOY SHOW

The Bombastic Plastic toy shows happend in June of 2018 and 2019. At first, I had thought the idea was simple, to have a designer toy show at Spectra Art Space in Denver Colorado. Where all the toys were original work made by independent artists. The execution was challenging, as I curated hundreds of pieces of work from artists all of the world.

The show was phenomenal thanks to collectors, artists and, sponsors. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to help artists get visibility and, for artisans to see a show that hadn’t ever happened in Denver.

Special thanks to Meow Wolf and Spectra Art Space. Show photos by Kate Russell.

COUCH the Sofubi Sofa

For my first soft vinyl toy, I wanted something unique. All the soft vinyl toy i saw where monsters, robots, and cutesy characters…

I had to make a couple rules for this toy was was going to produce. It had to be simple, 1 to 2 pieces. Had to have playability. And, had to be unique, something I hadn’t seen before. Micro Sofubi where becoming popular at the time so, I wanted an accessory for that type of toy.

I tried to draw from my design experiences and early core classes at RMCAD. Furniture has this important argument of form V function. Chairs are one of the first and most important pillars of design objects.

The flat surface and shape of the toy allows for interesting patterning and paint application. Simple, quirky and, inexpensive I am very happy with how this project came out.

LOGO DESIGN

A good logo has the power to make or break a brand. Here are some of my favorite logos I’ve made.
